Having never really played a guitar, I once heard someone tell me that all you really needed to learn were three or four chords, and you could do a good impression of most [rock] songs. Whether or not that's true, I have no idea - however, there are a few key principles in software architecture that will get you most of the way there. In this talk, we'll cover some popular patterns, and talk about their relative advantages and disadvantages. We'll also look at a couple of examples of these patterns using .Net.
